| Hm... *NOTE TO SELF: Add to dictionary.* Anyways, you gotta be specific. You need to post an actual style of shading, what angle to shade from, what kind of shading, et cetera. Leave this to KD I guess. And also, a better sprite, and either give an OPTION of creating a whole new pallet, and a whole new shade, or just make a new one out of the current one. Also, could we use this? (NO COPYING OF COURSE) You'd give a style of how to shade, and we would shade as directed. | |

| Yeah, I'm kinda out of my league in Shading. You may use that sprite. As for the Shading style, Can you all do Jus? | |

| JUS is actually quite hard as a shading style. | |

Yes, yes it is. It isn't easy AT ALL. So what is the angle? Straight up? From the left? The right? Diagonal? Also, could I just use some of my custom sprites for the test? - Spoiler:

| JUS angle is usually Up Behind, and coming from the screen. | |

| Well, we'll let Kidd choose teh style. As for the Sprites, Krazeh, yes. However, the Asdf sprite's shading is terrible. Almost non-existant. | |

| The delicate art of shading...
Shading is a very hard, and often the most missed part of spriting. It consist of the use of lighter and darker colors to create an life and deepness effect. Things to focus on when shading-
-The light source : It's important to be able to know where the light source is in the most common styles and be able to spot it in customs sprites. *Basic light source of common styles*
Basic Rule - Most of the sprites :
///// //// C// C
Jump Ultimate stars : \\ \\\ \\C \\C
Also seem to come from the screen a bit (Read : Further behind is darker then closer from the screen)
Mario & Luigi - Battle :
*Use Basic Rule*
Mario & Luigi - Overworld : ||||| ||||| ||C|| ||C||
-The Pallette : You already know how to do a pallette, which is a good thing. Just remember then when doing one, your color must not be too close-looking, but not too different either. If you are doing sprites for some specifics styles such as JUS or M&L, it's always a good thing to take in-game colors to do your pallette, it will help them fit better next to real sprites.
I think it's about it, TL should now gives you an unshaded JUS, M&L and random sprite and you'll need to shade them accordingly to their style.

Okay, you have the random sprite,(Rex) Mario sprite, and I'll go work on a Jus sprite. Just forget the splicing. It won't ever help. Ignore what I just said. It could always help. Just to be ahead of time, here is my edit and custom: {EDIT} Demon Girl (OC): {CUSTOM} Scrafty:

| Okay, I need to see what you edited Demon girl from, before I can grade it.
And if you want to make a Fan-mon like I did, you need to learn how to sprite.

| No, He's just showing what he edited it off of.
Okay, as for the Edit, ......First off, the Hair is the best. Good job. However, the shoes are crappy, they look like just a couple of lines. The Pants, it looks like they were just re-colored. And as for the Stance, try to make it different. It's not different at all.

Meh, probably shouldn't have posted a WIP. Anyways, the hair was a splice. It was off of another sprite. She was from Bleach.
